Last week, the Nebraska Department of Labor announced that Nebraska will begin offering the Extended Benefits (EB) program for eligible individuals who exhaust their previous unemployment benefits. The program offers an additional 13 weeks of unemployment who have exhausted their initial unemployment, as well as the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation. Eligibility criteria is available here: https://wdr.doleta.gov/directives/attach/UIPL/UIPL_24-20.pdf
The Nebraska Department of Labor will be reaching out to individuals eligible, and the extended unemployment benefit should be the same as the previous benefit.
