Senator Lydia Brasch Invites You to Attend: DISTRICT 16 TOWN HALL MEETINGS – Monday, November 2

Senator Lydia Brasch will host town hall meetings November 2 in Blair and Tekamah to listen to constituents’ views considering legislation to introduce, support, or oppose prior to session commencing. Officials from the Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR) will also be present to provide updates on area roads projects.

Blair

9:00am to 10:30am at the Blair City Council Chamber, 218 South 16th St.

Tekamah

1:00pm to 2:30pm at the Tekamah Public Library, 204 South 13th St.

Senator Lydia Brasch will host town hall meetings December 4 in Blair, Tekamah, and West Point to listen to constituents’ views in considering legislation to introduce, support or oppose prior to session commencing. Senator Brasch was nominated for the Emerging Leaders Symposium held at the data analytics software company SAS in Cary, North Carolina and hosted by National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).  Wednesday, September 19 – Friday, September 21, Senator Brasch looks forward to this leadership opportunity and aggressive agenda to further her leadership skills representing District 16 in the Nebraska Legislature.

Senator Brasch will attend annual County Farm Bureau meetings for each of District 16’s counties.  The events are:

Tuesday, August 28 – Burt County Farm Bureau

Wednesday, September 5 – Washington County Farm Bureau

Monday, September 10 – Cuming County Farm Bureau.

Senator Brasch will be in Wisner on Friday, August 17 for Thunder on the River.  She hopes to see many District 16 residents in attendance at this grand event.

Senator Brasch was selected as one of three Nebraska senators to receive a fellowship to the 18th Annual Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development (BILLD).  The conference is held in Madison, Wisconsin, Friday, August 10 – Tuesday, August 14 and is hosted by the Council of State Governments (CSG).  BILLD is a unique educational opportunity to enhance leadership skills as a state senator and will include seminars on public policy, priority management, and consensus building.  Senator Brasch is honored to receive the fellowship and represent District 16 and the State of Nebraska.  She looks forward to the experience and putting into practice the learned skills as she serves District 16.

District 16 County Fairs

July 20th, 2012

Senator Brasch looks forward to participating in District 16 county fairs once again!  The fairs are a great opportunity for meeting, visiting, and viewing fantastic creations across our district.

The 2012 fairs will be held as follows:

Washington County, Friday, July 27 – Wednesday, August 1

Burt County, Friday, August 3 – Tuesday, August 7

Cuming County, Thursday, August 9 – Sunday, August 12

Senator Brasch will celebrate our country’s Independence Day by participating in District 16 parades.  She will be in Tekamah at 10:00 a.m. and in Lyons at 4:00 p.m. for parades.  She looks forward to seeing you there!  Happy 4th of July!

Senator Brasch will participate in a ride-along with the Nebraska Department of Roads in District 3, one of two roads districts in Legislative District 16.  She will see first-hand the construction and activity taking place to better serve constituents in District 16 as roads questions arise.
