It is an honor to represent the citizens of Madison County in our Unicameral Legislature. As a lifelong citizen of Norfolk, I am proud to represent my hometown and the communities in Madison County. My work in the Legislature is focused on increasing economic development opportunities, quality education, health care, and highway infrastructure. I appreciate the confidence the citizens of Madison County have placed in me at the state level to represent the communities of Battle Creek, Madison, Meadow Grove, Norfolk, Newman Grove, and Tilden.

In addition to representing Madison County, I also serve as the 31st Speaker of the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature. In that capacity, I pride myself on working to bring senators to compromise and working toward solutions on some of state’s toughest issues. As Speaker, my duties include scheduling the bills for debate each day by the full Legislature, and working with senators on priority legislation.
