Senator Brandt along with his colleague Sen. Myron Dorn, US Senator Deb Fischer, Beatrice Mayor Stan Wirth, Gage County Board Member Don Schuller and others participated in the Rehab Road Show, touring buildings in Beatrice that have been the beneficiaries of an historic tax credit. The structures visited were the Centenary United Methodist Church, The Hevelone Building and the Poling Drug Building. All three sites are using the Nebraska Historic Tax Credit in order to advance the project. Afterwards, there was a discussion on the State/Federal Historic Tax Credit, community and downtown development and the potential to strengthen or re-institute these credits to better serve community growth.
