With respect to the schedule next week, we will not meet in session on Monday or Tuesday.

The members of the Revenue Committee will need time to recover from 6 full days of public hearings and will need time to regroup and put together a package for consideration by the full Legislature.

Wednesday, August 7th, we will convene at 1:00 p.m. and take up the gubernatorial confirmation reports that have been advanced by committees.

It is my hope that we can begin debate on a property tax package on Thursday consisting of a revenue component from the Revenue Committee and funding components from the Appropriations Committee. That of course, will be dependent upon the work of the committees.

Although I had hoped to not schedule any Saturdays, given general file debate will not start any earlier than next Thursday, I do intend to schedule Saturday, August 10th as a session day. Additionally, please plan on working late nights both Thursday, August 8th, and Friday, August 9th, and potentially working a full day on Saturday.
